Cost & BOQ

Estimate construction costs, analyse item rates and compare planned quantities, budget values and actual costs.

Project Controls

Review planned versus actual progress, calculate delays and assess productivity and completion performance.

Steel Bar Weight Calculator

Calculate the approximate theoretical weight of reinforcement steel bars using bar diameter, bar length and quantity. This tool is intended for preliminary estimation and material planning.

Steel Bar Weight Calculator

Estimate the theoretical weight of reinforcement bars by diameter, length and quantity.

Total bar length

Total weight (kg)

Total weight (tonnes)

Formula: Approximate weight per metre = diameter² ÷ 162, where diameter is in millimetres. Total weight = weight per metre × length per bar × number of bars. Results are theoretical estimates; verify actual quantities against approved drawings, the BBS and applicable contract measurement rules.

Concrete Volume Calculator

Calculate the concrete volume of slabs, beams, columns, footings and circular columns or piles using their dimensions. View estimated quantities in cubic metres and cubic feet for preliminary planning and material estimation.

Concrete Volume Calculator

Estimate the geometric concrete volume of common structural components using their dimensions.

Length in metres
Width in metres
Thickness in metres
Optional allowance added to the calculated volume

Estimated Results

Volume per component —
Total geometric volume —
Wastage allowance —
Total including allowance —
Total including allowance (ft³) —

Formula: Rectangular components = length × width × thickness/depth × quantity. Circular components = π × radius² × height × quantity. One cubic metre is approximately 35.3147 cubic feet.

Important: This tool provides preliminary geometric estimates, not structural design or an approved quantity take-off. Dimensions must be taken from approved drawings. Overlapping slab, beam, column and footing volumes are not automatically deducted; avoid double counting when combining components. Set wastage according to the project specification and placement method. Verify quantities against project requirements and applicable contract rules.

Concrete Material Estimator

Estimate preliminary quantities of cement, fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate and water using the selected concrete grade, concrete volume and applicable mix proportions.

Features include:

  • Lean concrete: M5 and M7.5, where specified.

  • Nominal-mix estimation: M10, M15 and M20, where applicable.

  • Design-mix estimation: M25 and higher grades using approved mix-design inputs.

Includes optional wastage allowance to support construction planning and material estimation. Calculations and assumptions should follow applicable Indian Standards, project specifications and approved mix designs.

Concrete Material Estimator

Estimate preliminary quantities of cement, fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate and water where approved mix data is available. Select the method applicable to your project.

Enter the required net concrete volume.
Optional allowance for preliminary estimation.

Nominal-mix proportions

The ratio updates automatically with the selected grade. These are preliminary reference ratios, not a confirmation that a particular ratio is permitted for every project. Verify applicability against the relevant Indian Standards and project specifications.

Estimating assumption; verify for the project.

Water is not estimated in nominal-mix mode.

Calculation Method, Assumptions and Limitations

1. Nominal-mix estimation: The estimator uses the displayed cement:sand:coarse aggregate ratio, the dry-volume factor and an assumed cement bulk density of 1,440 kg/m³. Ratios are preliminary references and must be checked for applicability under relevant Indian Standards and project specifications.

2. Grade and method: Nominal mode lists M5, M7.5, M10, M15 and M20 only. M25 and higher are offered only in design-mix mode. Approved design mixes may also be used for lower grades when specified by the project.

3. Design-mix estimation: Enter approved material quantities per cubic metre. The calculator does not create or approve a mix design. Aggregate volume conversion uses the user-entered aggregate bulk densities.

4. Water: Design-mix water is calculated from the approved water quantity, or from cement quantity multiplied by the entered water-cement ratio when direct water data is absent. Actual batch water must follow the approved mix design and required aggregate moisture corrections.

5. Cement bags: Bag count assumes 50 kg per bag. Procurement quantities may need rounding to whole bags.

6. Wastage: The allowance is an estimating adjustment, not a universally prescribed percentage. Select it according to project specifications and site conditions.

7. Limitations: Results are preliminary material estimates, not structural design approval, a certified mix design or an approved BOQ. Verify quantities against approved mix data, applicable Indian Standards, drawings and project requirements.
